DR SONIA SRINIVASAN

Currently on Parental Leave

Dr Sonia Srinivasan (she/her) is a kiwi who crossed the ditch to study medicine at the University of Melbourne and a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) with additional training in child health through the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network.

Dr Sonia works part-time as an Adjunct Research Fellow in women’s health at Monash University and values translating evidence into real-world application so it makes sense for her patients’ lives. Her research interests are health equity and stigmatised conditions.

You might occasionally hear Dr Sonia on Triple RRR’s Sunday morning show “Radiotherapy”, where she tries to be a kind, wise guide to break down complex health and medical topics with experts from around the country.

In her spare time, Dr Sonia enjoys making up dragon-themed bedtime stories for her daughter and is always looking for gardening tips about how to get any fruit from her long-suffering feijoa tree.
